In a recent experiment, I decided to hand over a UX review to an AI tool to see how it would perform compared to traditional methods. The AI was tasked with analyzing user interfaces and providing feedback based on established design principles.
The results were intriguing. The AI was able to quickly identify several usability issues and suggest improvements, showcasing its ability to process large amounts of data efficiently. However, it lacked the nuanced understanding of user emotions and context that a human reviewer would typically provide.
This experience highlighted the potential of AI in enhancing the UX review process, but it also underscored the importance of human oversight. While AI can assist in identifying technical flaws, the subjective aspects of user experience still require a human touch.
