Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal has indicated that the India-U.S. interim trade deal is nearing completion, pending only a few final adjustments.
Goyal emphasized the necessity for clarity regarding tariff reductions, stating that a deal cannot be finalized until it is confirmed that India will have lower tariffs compared to its competitors.
The minister's visit to New Delhi on June 23-24 is expected to facilitate discussions aimed at resolving these outstanding issues.
