The White House has announced a new initiative allowing AI companies to have their models vetted by the administration before they are released to the public.
This voluntary vetting process is aimed at addressing security concerns that have arisen, particularly in light of a recent incident involving Anthropic.
Under the proposed order, companies would be able to seek approval from the Trump administration a month ahead of their planned release dates.
