In a significant legal decision, a UK court has determined that the government is not required to pay Rwanda £100 million linked to a failed migrant deportation scheme.

The scheme, which aimed to deport certain asylum seekers to Rwanda, was abandoned by the Labour government on its first day in office.

This ruling comes after Rwanda had initiated legal action against the UK, claiming a breach of agreement regarding the scrapped program.
