A new report from Human Rights Watch has uncovered the extent of Mexico's cooperation with the United States regarding deportations. It indicates that a substantial number of deportees were sent to Mexico under secret agreements.

Specifically, of the 18,453 individuals deported by the Trump administration up until March, 12,977 were transferred to Mexico. This cooperation has not been publicly recognized by the Mexican government.

The findings raise questions about transparency and the implications of such agreements on human rights, particularly given the current political climate.
