The recovery of two 17th-century paintings marks a significant moment after they were missing for almost a century. These artworks were originally loaned in 1929 for the Ibero-American Exhibition held in Seville.

Despite their initial purpose for display, the paintings were never returned to their owner, the Hospital de los Venerables Sacerdotes de Sevilla. This long absence has now come to an end.

The return of these paintings not only restores a piece of history but also highlights the complexities surrounding art loans and ownership.
