Phoenix Police Chief Matt Giordano has recognized that utilizing Mexican license plates on unmarked police vehicles was not an ideal choice.
The plates in question were sourced from impounded vehicles, raising concerns about their appropriateness for police use.
Following this realization, Chief Giordano has ordered the immediate removal of all non-U.S. license plates from the department's fleet.
